Berean Baptist Christian Schools is dedicated to meeting the academic needs of our students while not neglecting their spiritual needs. This purpose has brought about Spiritual Emphases Week.

We start the school year by giving an extra emphasis on living for God. Class schedules were altered for the week, and half of the day was set apart for chapel and game time.

Taylor Gillespie is an evangelist from Southern California who preached to our students on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The messages were both convicting and encouraging.

During the chapel time, students sang songs, played games, and listened to the preaching of God’s Word. After chapel the students would gather in the gym for a time of organized games and competitions. The class that had the most points by the end of the week would be treated to frozen custard at Culver’s. All of the classes were spirited and the competition was intense. Even though all of the classes were involved in the competitions, the seniors didn’t seem to have much competition. They won the week long competition and claimed their prize.

People don't normally get into trash cans, but some students would do anything to win.

On the last day of Spiritual Emphasis week the Junior and Senior High students went on a bowling activity. Spiritual Emphasis Week has been memorable, and will more than likely be a yearly even at Berean, because of the impact that it has on our student body.

We wrapped up the week by spending Friday afternoon bowling.
